An Open Letter to President Buhari
Our economy is in despair you must respond very quickly to fix it to avoid chaos. Majority of the people are really suffering. These are my suggestions:
(a) Inject capital into the system that will not increase money supply in the long run, but create immediate and meaningful employment and also create capital for the State for roads, education, sewer and water. Start a mortgage system right away for building new housing, and renovating existing housing to code. This is one the safest and quickest ways to inject capital into the economy.
(b) You must personally be involved in nurturing the relationships between and within individuals, institutions, and the government. This is necessary for us to exchange our goods and services and enhance contractual relationships between and within individuals, institutions, and the government departments. NIMC must not attach our NIN to a credit card. Our identification is not for sale to the whole world it is confidential, it should be shared only with those we have contractual relationship. You must stop those who are trying to subvert this objective I met with their management and I promise you that the present structure is not constitutional and unsustainable. The collation of individual portfolio should not be as difficult as we are making it. This is a matter of national security and you may collect individual data required from; all enrolled students at school, at birth, to all those offered a driver’s license, to those renewing their passport and like every country, legislation that every individual must have NIN to have a bank account. All applicants must come to you not chase applicants. Identifying nationality is a national security issue. Citizens have privileges and obligations while none citizens may enjoy the privileges but may not afford our country the obligations.

(c) Please do something about the Nigerian Police affairs. It is creating chaos. Those whose function is to protect us must not be seen as corrupt less to say as extortionists. Can this be happening in the year 2017? If they are poorly paid raise taxes, or reduce their numbers to pay them more. Our society has become totally disconnected and chaotic.
(d) Please provide us electricity. You must be bold to accomplish this task because this industry is already subverted. The privatization of electricity should not be limited to supply of power to the grid which does not assure delivery and collection of power consumption. In affluent society privatization of electricity is a formation of corporation where shareholders and their board manage the production, maintenance, delivery, and collection of payments. We watch with ore at how you handle this pivotal industry. It is primary for us to produce, it is an economic risk, it is a social risk, and it is national risk. Electricity is not at all as difficult to attain as we have made it to be. We live in a world of credit and companies that can Dam our plentiful waterfalls are idle in this global economic depression. Our populace will pay their residual monthly electric bills with joy and praise, to pay our contractual monthly payments and interest. Why are we inflicting so much unnecessary pain on our society?
(e) There are many simple ways to start mechanized farming. We must start to control inflation and balance of payment. Our country will not only reduce food importation, it will increase food processing, retailing, and employment.

(f) It is important that you continually communicate with us at every opportunity you have and use your correspondents to share with us your administration plans. Let us know what the administration is doing daily, direct us to where you want to lead us, and create a platform for us to participate, support, and contribute to your objective. This is important to allay fears and uncertainty that may constrict spending which may further shrink the economy. Hearing your assuring voice of hope may also contain and appease the hunger, pain, and anger that may lead to aggression, confrontation, and violence.
(g) We Nigerians pray that you have strength to prosecute and stop all these elected officials that are daily looting our resources; our livelihood and the future of our children and their children. There are very simple ways to do this. It is painful to see these corruption and theft at this depressing time. It creates anger and hopelessness that could create chaos. The creation of Emergency community centers (Call centers and Leak centers may provide you quicker information. Please do not rely on the present Call center that you have. I was at the department of Police Affair’s and the management affirmed that the funds allocated to its creation had been exhausted.

There is no successful society without a plan. We need to develop a plan. The best plan will include the participation, contribution and support of every Nigerian. To attain that you must develop infrastructure to capture information from all sources at home and abroad and also develop the infrastructure to disseminate it to our societal structure. There are many Nigerians abroad that can contribute to our country if this infrastructure is available.

We have everything in our country; human, natural, mineral resources we simply have to implement “how things work”.

You know, when I realize for the first time that the family was the only ones who loved me. When I found myself alone, the only thing I could think about is the time that passed away. Always think about your family, they are the only people you have in this life

Yes there is no one who cares for each of us than our family but think about it we all live together for reasons such as security in numbers, to. produce and exchange our goods and services. If we all we all need each other we must seek the needs to assure that our needs are provided. If we do not participate, contribute support and engage our elected officials, institution, and each other we may never enjoy that reward of living as a community which provides security and economiic growth for each of us.
